Plants since 1961
Founded in 1961, Splendor Plant is today the largest wholesale plant nursery in the Nordics, well known in the industry thanks to its leading position in product and range development. Splendor Plant operates production and trading on an owned facility of approximately 80 hectares in Svanshall in northwestern Skåne and has approximately 120 employees. The customer base is well diversified and can be found throughout the country. Splendor's activities are based on nature and a strong desire to contribute to solutions for a greener future.
Through close relationships with our customers and partners, we strive to create plant materials and business solutions that not only work today but also equip us for tomorrow.
Splendor is located in Kullabygden, just outside Höganäs, in Skåne. It produces over 900,000 plants annually, for garden centers, landscapers, municipalities, cemetery administrations and other customers.
Strong competence and wide range
Splendor Plant has an extensive cultivation of plants on two closely spaced plants, Svanshall and Bläsinge. Production spans several different product groups and a wide range. The largest proportion is potted plants and the cultivation of shrubs in pots is the largest in terms of volume. We also have an open-air orchard where we grow larger trees, solitary shrubs and Splendor Finished Hedge®.
We grow sustainably, based on a healthy and vibrant soil. Living soils with plenty of microorganisms, help keep our plants healthy and resilient. We are also actively working on the recovery of residues in composts and with several water-saving measures.
Introducing new plants has always been an important part of Splendor Plant's business. A good international network of contacts, together with active cooperation within e-Planta, has laid the foundation for the wide and innovative range that we produce today.
